“…Every defeat, every heartbreak, every loss, contains its own seed, its own lesson on how to improve your performance the next time.” – Malcolm X
Alonzo Self has experience in interior design, architectural design, and the power construction industry. As an interior designer, he worked on numerous project types that comprise corporate, retail/commercial, and higher education. Working on a variety of project types permitted him the opportunity to provide creative design solutions for unique environments.
Alonzo has a keen eye for exceptional design on both the micro and macro level. His principal goal in the building industry is to conceptualize and produce work that is functional and aesthetically pleasing. His architectural experience greatly aided him in the power construction industry. As a Lead Electrical Field Engineer, he worked on several national, multi-million-dollar power projects. Alonzo was responsible for clearly communicating design intent to the craftsmen and providing a high measure of quality control. As a part of assured quality control, he offered craftsmen in the field training on the comprehension of construction documents and the means of executing work.
His boundless enthusiasm and passion for seeking out and producing exceptional design is his primary drive. Alonzo has brought this great enthusiasm with him to Chasm Architecture.
