Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport – West Plaza West Curb Canopy

CHASM is currently serving as a Joint Venture Design partner responsible for modernizing the busiest and most efficient airport in the world. One segment of this project focuses on the modernization and complete reorganization of the West Curb and ground transportation hub to include a new West Plaza. The Plaza will incorporate a pre-lobby for the forthcoming hotel, requiring extensive coordination with the hotel design team.

The primary design elements include a serpentine ETFE clad canopy to cover most of the Plaza and new landscape and hard surface design. The serpentine form of the canopy allows for extensive movement through the structure with maximum path coverage.

The design compliments the previously proposed North and South roadway canopies, while standing separately.
