
Lawrence D. Crocker Elementary School
CHASM Architecture served as Interior Architect in collaboration with Architect of Record, Chenevert Architects for this $20M elementary school. The Lawrence D. Crocker Elementary School project consists of a three-story facility to serve Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade students. The design promotes natural daylight throughout and creates a comfortable learning environment for the students. The intent was to provide a LEED certified building to further enhance student learning.

The school consists of the following amenities: primary & specialty classrooms, special education, media center, gymnasium & physical education, music performance, dining & food services, maintenance & custodial services, as well as common areas. A music room, along with practice rooms, are incorporated into the design of the building. Performing arts are a critical path to the future of the New Orleans School District. The 96,500 SF school promotes a secure, functional environment and encourages interaction and participation through its design.
