State Farm Arena – Harrah’s Cherokee Casinos Club | Hawks Corporate Office and Meeting Space
Approximately $200 million went into the renovation of the Atlanta Hawks’ home, State Farm Arena, transforming it from its predecessor, Philips Arena. The renovation began with full-scale knockdown remodels and incorporates the latest technology and amenities to provide a one-of-a-kind fan experience. CHASM worked in conjunction with other firms to make the face-lift a reality. The transformation rethinks and rebuilds the interior of the building from the roofline to the baseline and includes major changes to the current arena configuration, including removal of the six-level wall of suites on the west side of the arena allowing for new amenities on every level of the building, and revamping the concourses with 360-degree connectivity and a reimagined eating and drinking experience featuring new open food stalls and bars throughout. Inspired by the success of Atlanta’s BeltLine, the arena also has a tremendous amount of open, connected spaces with unique things to see, experience, and enjoy on every level.
CHASM carried out three major portions of the renovation. In association with ai3, CHASM designed and executed the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Club. At this club, food is theater, and chefs are stars. Moody lighting and rich, honest materials underscore the club’s Southern hospitality. CHASM adapted the design to reality and brought the vision to fruition in an exquisitely detailed manner. CHASM also designed the Hawks Corporate Offices and meeting and break out spaces to be completed in a possible future phase.
